The promising athletes received payment cards from Belagroprombank
On August 3, 2017, the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus (NOC Belarus) hosted the scholarship award ceremony for 20 young promising athletes of our capital city. In recognition of their high performance in sport, future Olympic athletes were granted the NOC Belarus certificates and payment cards from JSC Belagroprombank.
20 young athletes were granted payment cards from JSC Belagroprombank and scholarships from the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
This was the fifth awards ceremony for young scholarship recipients held with the participation of JSC Belagroprombank. The funding is intended to boost the implementation of the educational and training process and plan targets at the official international competitions and training camps.
The Olympic scholarships were granted to the athletes in such sports as track and field, cycle racing, archery, fight, swimming, speed-skating, boxing, snowboard etc.
The prizewinners of the World Championship among youth Pavel Dik (freestyle), of the European Cup stage Pavel Onishchenko (snowboard), and of the international competitions Alexander Pokras, Elizaveta Gurinovich (shooting), Anastassia Salos and Arina Sushchinskaya (free calisthenics), Ruslan Golovachov (judo), Egor Shpakovski (cycle racing), Stanislav Dorogokupets (track and field), Darya Pugach (archery) were among the scholarship recipients.
The official representatives of Belagroprombank, NOC Belarus, and well-known Olympic champions took part in the ceremony of awarding the prize money winners.
On behalf of JSC Belagroprombank, the Deputy Head of Public Relations and Marketing Department Yury Karpitsky congratulated the young scholarship holders and expressed hope that in the future they would become the Olympic champions and would be displayed in the place of honour in the Hall of the Olympic Fame of NOC Belarus.
Belagroprombank and NOC Belarus proactively implement the initiatives in the sport and social spheres. In the course of two years, the mascot Agrik “brought” 75 medals at the international competitions of the highest level, of which 15 were won at the Summer Youth Olympic Festival in Gyor.
On 1 August 2017 Belagroprombank and the National Olympic Committee signed the Cooperation Agreement that consolidates the joint efforts of the two organizations in the promotion and development of a healthy lifestyle and sport in our country, and the Sponsorship Agreement under which Belagroprombank will continue to hold the title of the General Sponsor of NOC Belarus for another 4 years.
