Belagroprombank and NOC Belarus extend cooperation for another 4 years
On 1 August 2017, JSC Belagroprombank and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus signed a Cooperation Agreement. This document consolidates joint efforts of the two organizations aimed at the development and promotion of the ideas of Olympism in our country for the next four years. Along with the Cooperation Agreement, the Sponsorship Agreement was signed under which Belagroprombank will provide financing to NOC Belarus for the development of sport in our country for the next 4 years.
NOC Belarus and Belagroprombank started cooperation four years ago when they signed the Sponsorship Agreement and Belagroprombank became the Sponsor General for the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus. Over the years of cooperation, we managed to implement numerous memorable projects, among which the annual celebration of the International Olympic Day, the farewell ceremonies for Belarusian athletes departing to the Olympic Games and festivals, the ceremony of presenting grants to the promising athletes, the honoring of the medal winners of the Olympic Games and many other projects.
Some projects have become of particular significance for Belarus, namely the charitable sports campaign “What are you capable of?” and the sports social project The Dream Team that were highly praised by the International Olympic Committee. For the first time in the history of Belarus, the prestigious award “Sport Beyond Borders” was conferred to JSC Belagroprombank by the International Olympic Committee for the significant contribution to the promotion of sport and a healthy lifestyle.
First Vice-President of NOC Belarus Andrey Astashevich hands over the award to Chairman of the Board of JSC Belagroprombank Anatoli Lysiuk. The awards ceremony took place on 3 June 2017 within the framework of the International Olympic Day in Minsk.
–We are proud of our partnership with the National Olympic Committee. As from 2015, a symbol of the children’s savings program “Grow Happy” Agrik has acted as the National Olympic team’s mascot for six times at the largest international competitions, – the Chairman of the Board of JSC Belagroprombank Anatoly Lysiuk stressed. – Just recently, Belagroprombank and Agrik participated in the farewell ceremony for young athletes departing to the European Youth Olympic Festival in Gyor. We are happy that Agrik has once again brought good luck to the Belarusian national team that won 15 medals at these competitions. Together with Agrilk our team has won a total of 75 medals!
Belagroprombank will continue to implement the projects to promote healthy lifestyle, as such initiatives are beneficial to our society.
