Maksim Ryzhenkov: "Agrik has become the mascot of the Olympic Games"
On March, 24 the press conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the NationalOlympic Committee took place in the headquarters of the National Olympic Committeewith participation of the representatives of JSC Belagroprombank.
Famous Belarusian Olympic athletes, special guests, journalists and the partners of the NationalOlympic Committee have joined the event.
During the press conference the members of the presidium – the first vice-president of theNational Olympic Committee of Belarus Maksim Ryzhenkov, the first Deputy Minister of Sportand Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Gagiev, the Olympic champions SergeyMakarenko, Alexander Medvedz, Elena Belova and others told the guests about the history ofthe establishment of the Olympic movement in the country, about the forthcoming OlympicGames in Rio de Janeiro, as well as answered numerous questions from journalists.
In his greeting speech to the address of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus SiarheiChuhai emphasized that JSC Belagroprombank has been the General sponsor of the NationalOlympic Committee of Belarus for two years already and has become a natural part of theOlympic family:
– I would like to say thank you to the National Olympic Committee for the opportunity tocelebrate this significant day with you. I am honored to stay here today together with our famoussportsmen, the great people who have always been idols for us, whose names have been foreverinscribed in golden letters in the history of Belarusian sport. The National Olympic Committeejointly with JSC Belagroprombank has developed a range of huge projects aimed at promotingthe Olympic movement. We highly appreciate our mutual cooperation which brings effectiveresults and we are sure that our cooperation will also be beneficial for both organizations in thefuture.

The Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Belagroprombank Siarhei Chuhai (the second on theright) and a famous Belarusian sportsman, a three-time Olympic champion, awarded with thesilver order of the International Olympic Committee, a special UNESCO prize “For the honourin sport”, and with the Golden order and the Golden branch of the International federation ofassociated style which declared him the best freestyle wrestler of the XX century, AlexanderMedvedz (the first on the right) during presentation of awards to sport journalists PetrRyabuchin and Inga Usenko
The first-vice president of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Maksim Ryzhenkovshared his thoughts about the mood of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus during thecelebration of its 25th anniversary and about the way the cooperation with JSCBelagroprombank helps to fulfill the set goals in the development of sport in our country:
– The 25th anniversary is a nice and symbolic date. Moreover, it is rather a serious age forambitious claim of the results and the present place of the National Olympic Committee in thesystem of Belarusian sport. On the other side, this is also time for hopes – as we are young,strong, we can set the goals.
