JSC Belagroprombank has joined the campaign “Forest week”

The annual voluntary campaign “Forest week” was held throughout the whole Republic from April, 2 till April, 9. During the campaign everybody could make his or her contribution to the preservation and enhancement of forest resources of our country. JSC Belagroprombank has also joined the campaign.

On April, 8 the representatives of JSC Belagroprombank jointly with the employees of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus, champions and medalists of the Olympic Games participated in the campaign “Forest week”.

A friendly Olympic team has planted traditional firs and Manchurian walnuts near village Novoselye (Minsk district)

The Olympic champions Dmitry Dovgalenok, Sergei Makarenko, Ellina Zvereva, Tatiana Beloshapko, Kamandar Madzhidov, medalists Ksenya Sankovich, Marina Goncharova, Marina Sinelschikova, a World champion Tatiana Drozdovskaya, members of the national handball team and players of “SKA-Minsk” Sergei Rutenko and Ivan Brovko, winners and medalists of World and Europe Championships in Sambo Andrei Kazusenok and Svetlana Timoshenko, a bronze medalist of Eurogames in archery Anton Prilepov, a winner of junior World Championship in biathlon Darya Blashko, a coach of the national curling team Alina Pavluchik, members of the national acrobatics teams Kirill Shatov and Eduard Volchetskiy and members of the national archery teams Ekaterina Timofeeva and Pavel Dalidovich have joined the voluntary campaign headed by the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Nikolai Ananyev and by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Korbut.

The event was organized under aegis of the permanent commission of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus “Sport and the environment” headed by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Amelyanovich.

Experienced foresters conducted instruction on a proper planting of seedlings

Before planting, all the participants of the campaign were told about the work of the forestry, the peculiarities of seedlings planting, the rules of safety practice. Afterwards everyone set to work.

According to foresters, a real Olympic arboretum will appear near the village Novoselye (Minsk district) in several years

On this day trees were planted by the champions in Sambo, members of the national Sambo team Andrei Kazusenok, Svetlana Timoshenko and by the Head of Marketing and PR Department of JSC Belagroprombank Tatiana Sidorenya

This year the campaign “Forest week” is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident. The main goal of the event is to draw attention of the population and public organizations of Belarus to the solution of problems connected with forest preservation as a national wealth. The campaign, in which traditionally participate people of various professions and ages, is aimed at creating a caring attitude to the nature, forest and its inhabitants. It also allows to better learn about the foresters’ labor: for example, how new forests are created and how much effort one should apply to make forests clean and healthy.
