Belagroprombank participated in the presentation of the postage stamps dedicated to the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games

On November 30, the Head Office of NOC Belarus, with the participation of Belagroprombank, hosted the presentation of the postage stamps of series “Medalists of ХXXI Olympic Games in Rio-de-Janeiro” and “Medalists of XV Summer Paralympic Games in Rio-de-Janeiro”, issued by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus.

The solemn ceremony gathered the representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, the Paralympics Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, RUE “Belpochta”, the publishing centre “Marka”, the sports federations and unions, coaches, Olympic champions, medalists, sportsmen, honoured guests and mass media representatives.

Traditionally, the First Vice-President of NOC Maksim Ryzhenkov opened the ceremony and greeted the guests:– To issue stamps dedicated to the most prominent Belarusian Olympic and Paralympic sportsmen is a wonderful idea which further promotes Belarusian sport. Now, its history and names will be available to more collectors of standard and artistic stamps. The stamps bearing the images of our sportsmen will be distributed on envelopes and parcels in our country and abroad.

We are pleased to share our joy with our long-standing trusted partner Belagroprombank that for the past three years has assisted us during the preparation of our sportsmen for summer and winter Olympic Games, international and national sports festivals and competitions. The mascot Agric has long been a part of our team and has many times brought good luck to Belarusian athletes.

Cancellation of Olympic-themed postage stamps is done by the Olympic champion Vladislav Goncharov, the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Rio-de-Janeiro Dzhavid Gamzatov and the First Vice-President of NOC Belarus Maksim Ryzhenkov.

The highlight of the event was cancellation of postage stamps in the presence of honoured guests and famous sportsmen. In this project we used the photos of the Belarusian champions and medalists – the participants of the 2016 Olympic Games and 2016 Paralympic Games.

– The Olympic Games were the highlight of this year, –the Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Belagroprombank Sergei Chuhai noted. – We all enthusiastically cheered for Belarusian sportsmen who participated in the Rio Olympic Games and represented our country with dignity on the international sports arena.

Belagroprombank and the National Olympic Committee of Belarus have been cooperating for three years. Over the years of mutual cooperation, our bank and the Olympic Committee implemented numerous significant large-scale joint projects.

– We are glad that our Agrik has been bringing good luck to Belarusian athletes as a mascot of Belarus Olympic Team for several years already, – Sergei Chuhai summed up. – Belagroprombank is a sports-oriented bank, therefore we will continue to hold and take part in joint initiatives promoting healthy lifestyle and cheer for high performance sport. The success of our Olympic champions and prize-winners is a great inspiration of our children and serves an excellent example of strength, courage, self-belief and pride in our wonderful country.

At the Awards Ceremony the winners of the contest “Be together with a team!” got special prizes from Belagroprombank.

The awards ceremony of the contest “Be together with a team!” organised by NOC Belarus was held during the event. The participants of the contest sent photos with the wishes to the Belarus Olympic Team. The best photos were selected by the Olympic sportsmen during their stay in the Olympic Village in Rio-de-Janeiro.

The Olympic athletes accepted the challenge “And what can you do?”

At the end of the event, Belagroprombank presented the project “And what can you do?” as part of the bank’s 25th anniversary in 2016. To take part in the challenge “And what can you do?”, you need to film a video with your favourite sports movement and post it on your social networking page with hashtag #ачтоможешьты. The main goal of the challenge is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. The challenge ends 31 December 2016.
